I would first get a solid background in computer an information technology before you specialize in a specific area. There are so many areas and specialties in information technology it can become overwhelming, but you may find an area Information technology that you find very interesting. You can then branch off and pursue that interest,
As far as becoming an information security analyst/specialist goes. I would take some classes that will help you work towards a certification. Some to look at would be CompTIA, SAN's, or ISC2. They all have lots of free seminars and course that will give some insight into a career in Information Technologies security field. I hope this is helpful to you

RAVI’s Answer

First of all congratulations for choosing this field. Information security analyst is a great field to be in now and in the future as long as computers are taking more and more control of our jobs and lives.

I assume you are in High School and I am framing my advise accordingly.

1. Learn more on Math and any computer or software classes offered at your school, in addition to other classes you have to take. In Math study more about pattern analysis, numerical analysis. You can also take extra classes in the evening or weekend at the local community college. You can start computer classes or information science or programming classes at the community colleges to get a head start.

2. Join computer science or Information science program at the college of your choice that also offers specialization in Information security.

3. You can start learning about Information security on many web sites like youtube, linkedin etc. currently and try to develop understanding of the field right now.

Work hard, learn more, and succeed.
Wish you the best.
