There is not an exact answer to this question, because it varies on a variety of factors like what kind of counselor you are trying to be, location that you are trying to work, among other variables that would need to be included. Because I do not know the specific information, it would be hard to answer this question.
I added a link below that leads to a website that talks about different counselor jobs, what they entail, and salary info. Hope this helps!

Each state is a little different, and each position is a little different. Here are some general guidelines:
Duties: typically completing assessments and documentation (progress notes, treatment plans, discharge summaries), therapy, liaising with community programs, updating relevant members of a care team (medical, social services, probation, etc.)
Hours: usually 9-5 type hours, but some agencies and companies might require evenings and/or weekends. If you work in a residential or inpatient setting, you may be on-call for evenings and/or weekends as well.
Working Conditions: usually similar to most office settings. You will typically have a private office you see clients in. I have worked in a medical clinic where I had a desk near medical providers and shared a patient room with other providers to see clients in.
Salary Range: highly dependent on experience, licensing, agency, specialty, etc. Entry level positions are typically going to start under $50,000 and can grow with experience. There is a huge need for providers, so some companies are offering signing bonuses.
