Ditto on Suvebah's response. It is definitely not boring. As an architect one has to balance all kinds of issues everyday from entitlements to design to budget to supply chain issues and the list goes on and on. There are some careers in architecture that are a little more mundane and more focused, but in general you will be using all parts of both sides of the brain everyday. As for salaries, don't do it for the money. One can make a good living - the first several years of ones career can be pretty slim on the salary front - but overtime and with more experience it is a comfortable living. Check out the American Institute of Architects website for more info on the profession and I think they even have a salary guide.
Take a design or drafting course at your school.
Contact the local AIA chapter and see what type of events they may be having to get a sense of things.

Suvebah’s Answer
Architecture definitely is not boring but very challenging: you need to be proficient in Mathematics and Physics for a start, but you must also be imaginative and artistic at the same time. For income, career websites such as careerbuilder and glassdoor provide average salaries across industry, company and jobs.
