What are some colleges that revolve more around arts and getting students started with animation?
I'm considering becoming a storyboard artist for kids cartoons and new animated films, but I'm not sure where I should go to learn the skills that I would need. My main objective is to get a bachelors degree in arts, but I want to know which colleges are better for becoming a cartoonist. #artist #animation #bachelors-degree #fine-art #cartoons #2d-animation

That has got to be the best school I've seen for that. It is so cheap too!

As a professional animator and character designer who went to a few animation and art “schools” I recommend to stay away from any art institute of (add city here), Sadly most art school and are extremely expensive and won’t teach what you need to know , I highly recommend to check Animation mentor , full sail, ringling, gnomon school, CGMA, Art center and concept design academy in Pasadena. CA Nobody will tell you this but no one will ask for your bachelor diploma, they are a waste of money, you’ll need a good portfolio to get a good job, if you have a bad portfolio a diploma won’t get you a job

There are schools that specialize in that. A big one is at Minnesota college of art.
The main thing you'll want do when you get a chance is do a search for illustration degree of fine art or comic degree of fine art. The cartoonist one is a real hook word that marketers know and will use to lure into something that is not.
UCLA is another major major name in art schools. They will have you learn everything instead of focus on one thing. They do that at The Art Institute of Houston, where I go, as well. There is a good thing that comes from that and that is the student has broad knowledge over every aspect of art. If you find yourself at one of those colleges, do not worry, they will help you specialize and focus on the one type of art you want to do the most toward the end of your degree.
