Degrees in sciences (i.e. biology, chemistry, forensic science, biochemistry). Also degrees in Criminal Justice or Criminology could suffice.

Joseph’s Answer

I don't know about CSI in your area, but here in the UK, it's not like CSI on TV where the same people do the crime scene work and the lab work together. There's different roles with different requirements - the lab forensic scientists, who typically do biology, chemistry, or other technical degrees; and the forensic practitioners who attend the crime scene and collect evidence to send to the lab. I spoke to somebody doing that recently, and she'd gone into it after studying a criminology degree; but from what she said I think they accept people with almost any degree subject.
