Hey Sri N, it depends which subject you are interested in? Most schools will need you to take the INBDE exams. All international students also need to take up TOEFL exams
Depending on the courses some of them may also need GRE.

Dr. Samrudhi (Sam) recommends the following next steps:

Hello. I am pleased to to read you. As your fellow, I think it's better to write to university in USA with master dentistry program.
Or apply to USA Health Council, then you can study master.

Elizabeth’s Answer

I dont believe there is a masters in dentistry in the US.

I looked up what the BDS is. Eith this you are a dentist in India from what i can tell.
In the US Dental school is 4 years and a doctorate degree is given at completion. To get into dental school students usually have any undergraduate degree and a good score on the DAT exam. If you are a dentist in some other countries you can expedite getting your US license in a 2 yr process rather than taking the whole 4 years. I know this is true for several countries but I am not sure if it is true for all. Foreign students can do a GPR general practice residency in the US for 2 years and are then able to get a license. This is one option. Another is to take 2 years of dental school over. Residency is paid and you can learn more practical skills. School can be very expensive. I knew residents 3 foreign countries that used this method.

Dr. Aditi’s Answer

Hey
First of all you need to figure out which branch/field you are interested in. You can shadow under different specialists in the USA to know more about the area of your interest and also to know about American dentalcare system.
Second you need to create your DENTPIN account, get your ECE/WES evaluation done, and clear required exams such as Toefl, GRE, Inbde, ADAT (varies in different programs).
Third is to apply to programs either through PASS MATCH or through university specific website.(varies)

Here are few links about different MSD programs in USA.
