No one doesn't know you can say how (or if) YOU will like engineering. But here are some of the plusses:
1) Generally relaxed dress code. None of that suit-and-tie crap.
2) Good pay. Often with good perks like flex-time.
3) Surrounded by (mostly) smart people.
4) You're making something that, hopefully, someone will actually use. There's something to be said for art or literature or other "creative" disciplines, but in engineering your product might save lives, enable new possibilities, or change the world. Most art or music or whatever, no matter its impact, can't say that.
5) It's less boring than a lot of other jobs.
6) It's a lot safer than other jobs, usually.
Not sure if that's what you were looking for, but without a more specific question it's what I've got.

Andres, I was a chemical engineer - although I no longer work in the traditional engineering world, I still use engineering concepts in the business world.
I think you will like engineering if you have a mathematical, analytical mind and like designing things that solve problems. The study will give you a very logical thinking discipline, an a bailey to think in a bract and come up wig tangible/real solutions along with excellent panning and overall management skills. So you can take a problem, design a solution and actually put that solution into practice.
Those skills are highly valued in industry - not only in engineering but in broader business and management roles.
Good luck,

This is a really great question. There are many kinds of jobs done by engineers, so you should have no trouble finding a situation that is compatible with your personality and interests. Some engineers work by themselves, others work with people. Some travel, some do not. Some work in very traditional organizations like the military that have lots of rules, other engineers work in organizations that are very relaxed. Some engineers work in positions that provide a lot of job security, others work in small startup companies. The one thing that engineers have in common is that they are natural-born problem solvers with an aptitude for math and science and a strong desire to use their skills to solve practical problems. The best engineers thrive on solving hard, technical problems. If that sounds good to you, then you will really enjoy engineering.

Great question - I like creating new things and seeing them work in the real world. Fundamentally, that's what I find most enjoyable about working as an engineer.
As other people have pointed out, this field also has a lot of intelligent, creative people working in it, and I think it's good to surround yourself with people like that, it certainly makes work more fun!

I was fortunate, I knew I would love civil engineering by the time I was heading to college. Sounds like you might fall into this category but maybe you don't know which discipline to choose. What makes working as an engineer more enjoyable? I like being able to get out of the office and seeing the project under construction. Observing the project site slowly transform into a real life version of what you envisioned and designed in the construction drawings. If you like BIG construction equipment and lots of noise, getting you boots dirty then you may like civil engineering.
Recently “green” initiatives have greatly influenced the civil field. Water quality, soil erosion and sediment control, recycled materials, and efficiency improvements to name a few. There are a lot of new technologies available now that the job more productive and enjoyable.
Good Luck!
