I truly think if you set your mind to it this is very possible! Especially if you want to look at a D3 or D2 college (college sports are based divisions and the divisions tell you how good a college is at that sport -D1 is basically where the best of the best go to play). Just push yourself and try to get that starting position. Turn it into your summer hobby and train as much as you can. Get video of you playing once you start your skills have increased and start reaching out to colleges!
Thank you, Madison for the advice.

It may not be too late. Most kids get started early as you probably know. However I can tell you from personal experience it may be possible to start now and still excel. Are you athletic and do you play other sports that have similar skills? You will probably have to try out. What I would do would be find out how the players are assessed at tryouts. Work on those skills as much as you can independently. Find out the exact way that they assess you. If they will time you doing sprints find out the distance of the Sprint and practice it on your own. If they test you on strength find out how exactly they do it. Practice at home or at the gym. If you know someone involved in football ask them how the training is done as well as how often they train. Be sure to give yourself adequate rest to recover for your next workout
Thank you so much for the advice.

It's never too late to start something new - especially if it will challenge you, as getting out of your comfort zone is what helps spark growth! I always find it helpful to keep trying new things as a reminder that everyone was a beginner once and gain practice in handling "failures" (I prefer to call them learning opportunities lol) since everyone is bound to face more of them regardless of what their future endeavors are.

To me, I don't think so. It is not late. You are still young, so you just need to work/practice harder, little long hour to catch up with level that they placed/put you.
Good luck!
Good luck!
Thanks for your encouragement!

Hello Danny, thank you for your question. to answer your question no it's not too late for you to start playing football but I do have a few suggestions for you. First, I don't know if you have been physically active the last few years, I do think you might want to start training to get in shape. Second, make sure you keep your grades up, I say that because your grades are more important than football. Lastly make sure you have a finical plan in order, so you don't have to depend on football to pay your way through college.
