I agree with Maria! I knew I wanted to be an Actor since middle school. I then got involved in Theatre at my school, and carried it into high school. I now major in Theatre performance, and hope to work for an entertainment company after graduation. I recommend that you audition at your local community theatre, thats a great way to get started!

Hi! There are many different paths people take to acting. I would definitely recommend a high school drama club, acting classes in your home town, or asking your drama teacher if she knows of any acting schools. If you are passionate about being an actress, you can look online to see top college programs for college or acting! Hope this helps!

Good answers! If you love theatre, then do it anyway you can. Most professional actors did their high school drama classes, school plays and/or the school audio/visual classes. In today's day and age, I would think you have many available avenues to acting in school -- video department; theatre department or even film school training.

Most of us look at theatre as the best training. And 98% of actors have theatre training.

The other part of "show business" is "business". So, as you prepare or start college, be sure to understand business. That's the mistake many aspiring actors make -- having no idea of the business side. And if you seek to be a professional--it's probably 90% business and 10% show. At least, if you want to keep the money you do get.

Be prepared that acting is often along road and no promises anyone will make a living wage. Only 2% of professional actors make a living as actors. 98% of us do other jobs to keep ourselves in food, rent and thriving.
