What are some passion projects ideas that a student interested in the health field can do?
What are some passion project ideas that a student interested in the health field can do?
I'm passionate about arts and health. I've already done a passion project for art, which was curating and sponsoring a teen-art gallery to support a non-profit. Not only that, but I've done some volunteering at hospitals and Red Cross, which has been great so far. What are some ideas for a health-related project.

Hello! Please, note the following concerning a health-related project :-
1. Consider the type or kind of project, relating to health.
2. Consider the extent of your INTEREST and KNOWLEDGE in health matters.
3. Have compassion and kindness, especially, to the sick.
4. Volunteering and humanitarian spirit.
Best wishes in your vision.

Do you have any specific interests within the healthcare field?
While in my freshman year of college, I organized a "Out of the Darkness" Suicide Prevention Walk/Fundraiser through the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and had over 300 participants. It was a lot of work but very rewarding - definitely a "passion-project" for me!
I would recommend you consider your own interests within healthcare, then look for correlating existing non-profits to team up with and create a plan for your healthcare passion project. For example, you are already volunteering with the Red Cross and they have several posted templates to make hosting a "Blood Drive" in your community fairly streamlined. You are mostly in charge of advertising the event and recruiting donors (I know because I helped organize a blood drive a few years ago!).
Good luck :)

What are your interests? There is so much out there. Working as an EMT either volunteer or paid gives you tremendous experience in healthcare. Work or volunteer in a pharmacy. Volunteer at a local organization for domestic violence, or for people with disabilities and special needs. Local hospitals also have lots of volunteer opportunities. PT and OT organizations allow shadowing. Nursing homes have volunteers! Children’s camps and churches also have lots of opportunities. Make a list of the top three patient areas you think you have interest in. Then do a little research and reach out. Good luck. You will learn so much!
