Hello, I see one of your tags mentioned radiological technician.
While I am not one, my husband is a nuclear medicine tech at a hospital and I know he really enjoys it. Some of the benefits is that he is part of a union so he gets benefits from there like job security and insurance covers a lot of doctors. You can also get overtime if you work for a hospital/union so anytime you work outside the standard 40 hours, you get paid for that hour. He works in an outpatient medical office which is part of the hospital so one of the benefits is a tight knit group of coworkers. To become a tech, he went to a special school and got certified and has a state license which you would be required to get.
read about nuclear medicine tech positions and see if that is something that would interest you.

It depends on the agency which employs you.
If you are working for a paid fire department or for a hospital, your benefit package is generally going to be better than working for a private ambulance company, especially one that does nothing but IFT and related transports.
