You can always look at completing courses and receiving certificates from them. But as a side gig, I would look around your community for any open opportunities using your skill set - like a part time job.

Along with your job, you can look for professional courses which will help you to learn skills which are in demand, and you will get certificates on completing them successfully. Almost all of them will require you to clear an assessment at the end. This will ensure that side by side you are keeping yourself updated on the Information Technology (Software) side too. As you go further, you can also aim to go for reputed Certifications from International organizations like Scrum Alliance, Project Management Institute etc which are of much value all over the world.
