Typically, a researcher's day starts with one or more meetings that are about ongoing projects. Then, depending on the tasks that everyone works on, a researcher should check on their specimens. I usually divide my time into morning hours for lab studies and afternoon hours for clinical studies. Last 2 hours of each day, I typically prepare reports and my next presentation.

While I am not a clinical research coordinator, I do and have worked with individuals in this role. Clinical research coordinators are responsible for getting research projects started by following all procedures to ensure that the research is safe for the subjects and ethical. There is a lot of administrative work and training to be done that is ongoing.
Clinical research coordinators recruit and enroll subjects. They schedule subjects for visits. They work with the researchers, who include physicians, and those who oversee the research, like university committees or sponsors of the research. Clinical research coordinators need to be excellent communicators on all levels.
Some research coordinators also do some of the study procedures that they have been trained to do. They collect data for the project. The procedures done will depend on what type of research is being done.
