Hi Kai, I think there are several career paths/degrees that go in line with your interests. There are also several colleges that have a 5 year program where you can get your masters as well, and do different internships during the school year. There is computer science, data science, computer engineer (computer science + electrical engineering in one), etc. I also think that when it comes to problem solving, working with others and coding - Supply Chain Management is another process-oriented degree that is worth investigating. A lot of people who have the hard analytical background who also enjoy working with people tend to go into consulting after receiving their degree. In this field, you are able to hone in on a businesses problems and propose a solution (there are also several types of consulting work that you can go into depending on your interests). I also think that once you take the entry level courses, and gain some experience with internships/projects that can also help you narrow down what field you may want to go into. Hope this helps!

Hello Kai,
I recommend that you start with doing the assessment on this website: https://www.mynextmove.org/explore/ip.
Next, I would reach out by email to someone in your community who may be doing the jobs you are interested in and ask if you can do a 30 min. informational interview and/or job shadow them.
Informational interviewing is a GREAT way to learn more about careers and to find out what the job is "really like." More information on informational interviewing can be found here: https://acsss.wisc.edu/informational-interviewing/.

Hello Kai,
You have many career options to choose from given your interests in Technology, Coding and Math, such as:
Software application development, Web development, Data engineering, Business intelligence and Data science.
All of these careers are in demand across various industries/sectors and in the area of emerging technologies.
I would suggest you take time to study these options, what it entails and the qualifications you would need in the relevant field. This will give you an idea of what would suit you the most. I also recommend speaking to professionals in your network to gain more insights.
Hope this helps. Thanks.

Hi Kai,
I would take a look at looking into a computer science degree. If you are interested in coding, is there a particular area that you are interested in? You can look at web development if you like to build sites, mobile apps, or data science. Data science is what I would recommend. Python is the language I would start with if you like working with data. Look at INE, they have a very good data science program.
