How long did it take you to get where you are today? I have been in my industry now for about 20+ years. It took many years of hard work and dedication to become the experienced professional I am today. I started working in my profession immediately upon graduating college and had set goals for myself for my career progression (2 year, 5 year, 10 year, etc. career goals)
Did you start at community college or go to a 4 year school? I graduated High School at the age of 16 and attended a 4-year university.
What did you study while attending college? My initial major was accounting, but ended up majoring in Supply Chain Management (SCM)
What experience did you have before getting your job? No experience when I was a freshout. Only experience I had was the theory of my major that was taught to me at the University.
Why did you choose this career? During my time at the University I tool a SCM class and it really made me reconsider my original major, accounting. My major supported everything I was looking for in a career as I wanted something where I was able to engage / communicate with people as well as be able to crunch numbers; SCM was able to offer me the best of both worlds.

Wow! That's a lot of question you have there. Okay!
It took me 10 years to get to where I am right now.
I went to straight for a 5 year program in Law and after it I went for an MSc degree in Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution.
Still not satisfied, I went for a one year course in Professional Diploma in Education with specialty on Early Childhood Education.
I think the ability to research, read and write well got me my first job before leaving to work for myself.
I chose my career because it gives me ample time for family and friends.
In all, choose a career path that feels all you. Do not lose you in the process of choosing a career.
All the very best!
