Always loved Corvettes from when I was a kid. I'm talking about 1975 when I was 5 years old. They seemed so stylish and exotic compared to the everyday vehicles on the road at the time. When I was in middle school, the C4 corvette was introduced and it seemed like such a leap forward in technology and design. A spaceship on wheels. I was completely hooked.
Finally bought my own Corvette about 5 years ago - a red 1998 C5. Admittedly it's not the leading edge of technology anymore, but it has a nice LS1 engine and a great chassis. The LS motor was a huge leap in technology from the old small-block Chevy, and has become the go-to engine to swap into older vehicles to improve power and reliability.
I have spent years modifying and improving all of the systems - learning as I go. It has become a great hobby where I have met some genuinely great people with a variety of cars.
