I'm Looking To learn more about Aerospace Engineering

I'm currently a student at Job Corps in NH and am looking to help design the next generation of Aircraft and space exploration rockets for the United States. I'm taking Adv. manufacturing where my Teacher was a defense contractor and is very knowledgeable about aerospace engineering and has been very informative about the concepts I had a good grasp on but needed more in-depth info on, I want to work in this field because it's my passion. I know I need at least a bachelor's degree and with scholarships I can easily get that done, but from there I do not know where to go, where would I start looking for work? What skills should I continue to develop or start developing now? Where should I consider living for the best chance of being hired? If anyone is willing to help me figure out more on this field and how would be best to get into it I would be very grateful, nonetheless thank you very much for reading this post

Mechanical Engineers, What was the reason you choose Mechanical Engineering?

Mechanical engineers, what was the reason you chose to graduate as a mechanical engineer?, do you like your career? As a job?, do you think you made the right choice picking mechanical engineering instead of civil, software, etc. (other branches of engineering). Im a high school student that is about to graduate and have always been fascinated by the mechanical engineering field but have feared that is a long and tough path to take, so I decided that I could choose some other type of engineering as a compromise, I’m still an engineer just not mechanical, but now I’m having second thoughts and I’m on the fence about not picking mechanical engineering as my major. Please help me out
