Hi Anna-Kate, medicine/ healthcare environments all vary. It all depends on what area of helathcare you want to go into. If you were in a clinic (Dr.s office) it could be an easier pace compared to an emergency room of a huge hospital that receives critically injured patients. There are many roles in healthcare also. Maybe consider looking into a medical assisting course, nurse assistant course, emergency room tech program, Dr.s scribing course or try to become a unit secretary. These roles will give you a view at all the different perspective of the work flow and what to expect. Again keep in mind they may all vary. Some areas work 12 hours per day 3 days a week. An office setting may work 8 or 10 hours per day. Some have very close patient interaction and some minimal. I hope this helps answer your question. Best wishes

Hi! In the nutrition field it depends where are you working.
A clinical nutritionist who works at the hospital has to do some rounds in order to check the patient’s evolution. After the rounds you have to talk with your team to see which is the best nutritional strategy and calculate their requirements in order to prepare the formula or in some cases an oral diet.
