Hi Melony!
You may go for apprenticeship in IT or computer studies as it is applied in all disciplines. If you are sure if your career path, then go for apprenticeship in the specific discipline. You may search for opportunities from company websites or job portals.

Great question - because it means you are thinking about internships at this stage! Real life experience is incredibly valuable AND it shows you are taking initiative in an interest area - not something most high school students do. Many hospitals have volunteer programs that permit minors to participate. If I was a teenager interested in nursing, I'd look into these volunteer programs in hospitals and health care systems near me. Check out their websites and email or call if you don't find an answer online. Good luck and DO spend the time - it'll be valuable and give you an idea of what you might be in for as you decide on your future career path!

Hi Melony,
Wow, Nursing! I hope you achieve this goal because there is such a shortage of nurses right now.
It may be tricky to find opportunities at the hospitals right now because of staffing shortages and COVID. You may not find official internships but you can certainly sign up as a volunteer.
Other places you can look may include private doctor’s offices, nursing homes, healthcare centers. You can also ask nurses and other healthcare professionals to allow you to shadow them (if approved). You will need to have them document your volunteer or internship information on a business letterhead (at a minimum).
Finally, there are websites that focus on placing students, I would stay away from these options unless your parents and HS counselors approve.
Stay focused on doing well in your English, Math and science classes.
I hope this helps and all the best.
Stay safe.

Many local hospitals offer volunteering programs and you should explore what they offer. Some of these jobs may be non paying but it will open the door for you in the future if you do well.
