Here are three important things to consider when pursuing a career in animation:

Strong artistic skills: A career in animation requires a strong foundation in art, including drawing, painting, and sculpture. Strong skills in these areas will help you create believable and engaging animation.

Technical knowledge: Animation is also a technical field, and requires knowledge of software such as Adobe Photoshop, Autodesk Maya, Blender, and more. It's also good to have a basic understanding of computer graphics, 3D modeling, texturing, lighting and rigging to be able to work with different software and tools.

Networking: The animation industry is highly competitive, so building a strong network of contacts in the industry can be very beneficial. Networking events, workshops, and online communities are great places to meet and connect with people in the animation field.

In addition to these three things, consider diversifying your skill set as an animator. Some animators focus solely on 2D animation, while others specialize in 3D animation. You can also choose to specialize in one specific medium, such as animation for video games or animation for feature films.

Also, consider the different working environments that are available in the animation industry. Some animators work for major animation studios, while others work for video game developers, advertising agencies, or independently as freelancers.

Finally, Animation Industry is a fast-paced and ever-changing field, so it's important to stay current with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices to ensure you are up-to-date with the latest industry standards.
