Great question Braden!
I would start this summer before your senior year starts. Many companies hire summer interns especially right now with the labor shortage. I will warn you that some summer internships may be unpaid or pay close to minimum wage. However, the insight/knowledge that you can gain is hard to put a price on and its only for the summer. I would check with your school or your local chamber of commerce to see if they know any good companies accepting interns this summer.
Hope this helps and good luck on the journey!

I would suggest doing an Internship in the summer time. The first thing you want to do is think about what interest you and then start networking with someone like a family friend, teacher, school counselor, etc to see if they could reach out to someone about Internships. Also, look at Indeed and enter Internships to see if anything comes up that may fit what you are looking for. Good luck!

Daniel is right: start now. Every opportunity you have to experience a career area will pay off, as you will have several such experiences in just a few years. These might be summer jobs, internships, or volunteering. They each give insight on what you like—and on what you do not like.
Thank you!!
