As others have said, companies determine when you get an interview; however, you can improve your chances of getting an interview by meeting with people from the company in advance. Do you have any friends, recent graduates from your school, or parents of friends who work there? Making a connection with someone at the company can help with getting a chance to interview. It can also help you figure out if that's a job you really want OR if that's a company you really want to work for.

Job interviews are typically set up once an employer has reviewed your application and decided they are interested in the information you provided and want to get more info from you. Once you fill out your application and submit it, the ball is then placed in the employer's court. They will review your application and decide if they want to move forward with an interview. In some cases, you may not hear anything from the employer so you can reach out to them to see if your application has been reviewed or not. In most cases though, the employer will set up the interview if they feel you are a good candidate.

These are some things that might help you to apply, increase your chances to get interview call /get selected.
Speak to career counselor.
Networking with your seniors in college to guide you.
Research the companies offer the jobs in your field, find out the job requirements.
Learn and acquire the skills /knowledge required for the jobs in your filed.
Do projects in the area of your job interest.
Apply for internships
Prepare a very good resume highlighting your skills, achievements and what's special about you.
Create a good LinkedIn profile.
Attend job fairs.
Apply to jobs through company websites or LinkedIn etc.
Attend mock interviews.
Improve your communications skills.
Knowing interview etiquette
Knowing about the company you apply for a job.

Hi Hailey, As others have said, you will need to apply and be selected by a company to interview for a job. If you have not had interviewing experience already, I would suggest working with your career counselor to identify individuals who might be helpful to practice speaking to about jobs/careers. This is called an "informational interview" where you aren't specifically looking for a job, rather you and gathering information and experience in interviewing skills and possible career paths.
One way I suggest finding informational interviews is to go on LinkedIn and find individuals who have a job you're interested in that also went to your college. These may be people you know, or a friend of a friend that may be willing to make a connection. When you reach out, kindly express you interest in learning about their career, how they chose their job, what they like/dislike about the job, and what you can do to be more prepared yourself!
