The sections on your resume can be: 1) Header: name, address, phone number, mail, web page or LinkedIn page whichever you prefer 2) Education (schools, degrees, relevant coursework) 3) Experience (academic projects, other projects) 4) Skills (including soft skills) 5) Interests & activities The section that includes details about your 'Experiences' (academic projects, research projects/experiences, other projects) is 50% or more of your 1 paged resume. Nusrat recruiters review a large volume of resumes each and every day. Including a header and your objective or summary can help hiring managers notice your resume among others. When adding a header, make sure your name is at the very top. If you have space, make the font size slightly larger. Include your phone number and email address.

Right below your header, write a summary or objective. A summary is no longer than three sentences and reviews your relevant experience and skills. An objective explains your career goal and what skills you can bring to the company. It’s no more than two sentences. Including one of these statements summarizes your resume at the top so hiring managers can review it and learn more about you quickly.

In addition to all of the great answers given above, make sure you're pulling in the skills that are listed in the job description! If the job description says an ideal applicant is organized, great at multi-tasking, and is able to manage lots of competing priorities, make sure that you pull into your own resume examples of you being organized, multi-tasking, and managing competing priorities. I'd encourage you to use some of the same words listed in the job description as well - that will help your resume get more attention, especially when a company is using AI to do a first review of resumes (which many do!).

Most importantly, whenever possible, try and find someone who already works at the place you want to work to refer you to the position. To do that, start networking today to find people who work at the companies you want to work for, and tell them you're a student and are interested in learning more about their career! The easiest way to do this is via LinkedIn.
