What is the most accurate representation of your career in media?
There are so many books, movies, tv shows, etc, that highlight specific careers. Examples include CSI, Chicago Fire, and Abbott Elementary. How is your career represented in media, and is it accurate? PS: I've heard that Scrubs is the most accurate portrayal of nursing

Such an interesting question, April! I was a teacher and a principal of an elementary school. It is hard to find movies or TV shows that accurately portray a day in the life of school employees. I often find that the shows/movies are spoofs of the education profession and tend to make teachers and principals look silly. Abbott Elementary is great, and I can relate to the show a lot. This show doesn't seem to make fun of teachers like others do, but it still is not even close to depicting what a teacher's day is like!

This might be odd but I'm a Librarian and the Netflix show "You" did a really good explanation and representation of Librarianship and Archivist. Marienne's explanation of how to become a Library Director and Joe's bookbinding skills were pretty spot on. *Spoiler Alert* Joe's stealing of the books from the library was pretty funny as it shows me no one really does collection development in the library since the missing books should have been addressed at some point.
