Kris’s Answer

Look into actuarial science. Actuaries make a very high salary and its all about math. Statistics and probabilities.

Physicists and Engineers are also very well paid. A knowledge of math as well as problem solving capabilities is required.

Kris recommends the following next steps:

Look up "actuary" online or at a library to find out more about what they do. Look up "physicist" and "engineer" as well.

Being good at Math and interested in Math is greatest asset. If you can do well in PSAT/SAT with your math skills and good english skills, you can get a national merit scholarship and can get it into ivy colleges easily.
There are tons of careers to choose from and your success and making money depends on how well you out your skills to use, what career path you choose and what degree you complete (Bachelor's , master's or Doctorate) etc.

Any STEM career is a good option ( Any Engineering Degree), Finance, accounting, Statistics, Astronomy majors are good as well.
Pursuing undergrad in Engineering with master's in business program, one can get into business side and can be able to make great money to start with.

Research about each major, career opportunities, compare them to shortlist few careers you are most interested in.

School Counseller can guide you well with the career options.

Hope this helps!!

Sara Miller’s Answer

Khanh! I'm so glad you like math! My son is a math major in college and has a far more advanced understanding of the subject than I.

I work in a pricing job at Verizon. My job is to set the rates that customers pay for our products and services. I combines my knowledge of math, economics, statistics, accounting and data analysis. We also use market research to understand what customers want from our products, how much value they get from them, and what they are willing to pay.

My job does not require calculus, but I am using what I learned in high school algebra every single day.

Anmol’s Answer

Math is a foundational subject. Being strong in math allows you to think about the "how" behind any given problem and think of ways to solve it.
This can be extremely useful in most industries including finance & technology.
More importantly math is also a life skill, it would help as you build wealth, manage your finances, buy a house and invest for your future.

Math is great! My son is a Math major in uni.
Math can apply to any industry at all! So if there is something else that interests you, you can study that too or get experience in that field when the time comes--be it Finance, Pharma, Biotech, etc.
