Jeffrey’s Answer

As a CWI, i look for welders who are well informed and trained. I can tell right away by looking at their welds, if they have proper training or not. I look for thoroughness and understanding of what an acceptable weld is. I look to see if the welder understands the drawings, ones fit up skills, and the knowledge of what heat does to your metal while welding. These things make a welder a skilled welder. Anyone with experience in the field will see that in a good welder. In any Line of work, attendance, punctuality, ability to follow instructions or give, problem solving skills and Team work are well sought after.
