"The King's Speech" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EcxBrTvLbBM) is a 2010 historical drama film directed by Tom Hooper and written by David Seidler. Colin Firth plays the future King George VI who, to cope with a stammer, sees Lionel Logue, an Australian speech and language therapist played by Geoffrey Rush. The men become friends as they work together, and after his brother abdicates the throne, the new king relies on Logue to help him make his first wartime radio broadcast upon Britain's declaration of war on Germany in 1939. Well worth your time.
There are a number of other films dealing with speech pathology as well including "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly," "Rocket Science," "Regarding Henry" and " The Theory of Everything." I highly recommend all of them. Enjoy!

Hi Ma,
It’s hard to find good, accurate movies about Speech or rehab. Don’t think for a minute it’s because rehab is boring or has no drama! We could write a book! Guess Hollywood just hasn’t found us yet.
Daniela’s list is great! I would recommend you start with Kings Speech about overcoming stuttering and how devastating it can be. The Miracle Worker is a classic must see. I love Regarding Henry - Harrison Ford with a brain injury. The rehab scenes are pretty accurate. The Diving Bell and the Butterfly is French but a great story about stroke. My Beautiful Broken Mind 2014 is also stroke and well done.
Just remember, it’s a movie, and they don’t get everything right and they can’t portray the long road and hard work our patients have to travel.
Speech therapy also works on swallowing problems in babies and after throat cancers or brain injury/stroke. They also work on cognitive skills like memory, sequencing, following directions, reading and comprehension. It is a varied field! Good Luck!
Shadow a Speech Pathologist for a day
Go to the ASHA ( American speech and hearing ) website

Hi there, I'd also add Brain on Fire, The A Word (a few scenes with a pediatric SLP), My Beautiful Stutter (mostly about the community of people who stutter).
