Brittany’s Answer

Agriculture can be so many things! I tend to think of it as "where food comes from." So agriculture might be:

- A teacher that helps students learn more about agriculture.
- A politician that helps advocate for policies and laws that affect how food is grown and handled.
- A scientist that helps create new growing techniques.
- A supply chain person that helps get food from one community to another.
- A mechanic that repairs tractors or farm equipment.
- A veterinarian that helps keep farm animals healthy.
- A chef that works with only local and in season ingredients to build a menu.
- A business person that helps farmers negotiate and buy land for a good price.
- A graphic designer that helps a farm create containers and logos to better market their materials.

There are so many careers and opportunities to be involved in agriculture. I hope you take the time to learn more, and find one that is right for you.

Agriculture is the science, art, and practice of cultivating crops and raising animals for food, fuel, fiber, and other products that sustain human life. It includes a wide range of activities such as soil cultivation, planting, harvesting, irrigation, pest management, animal husbandry, and crop processing. Agriculture has been practiced for thousands of years and is essential to human survival and civilization. It is also an important industry that provides employment, income, and economic development in many countries around the world. In recent years, agriculture has also become more focused on sustainability and environmental stewardship, aiming to reduce its impact on the planet while still meeting the needs of a growing global population.
