Zaara’s Answer

HI Adeline,

once you have a basic traning which include learning about layouts, lettering, coming up with unique concept ideas, using software, web and UI design, you will see which one of these you enjoyed the best and you can focus more on that area. You can build and target your portfolio with that in mind. Eg: if you like creating logos, you will have lots of brilliant logos in your portfolio. Or you might like creating layouts and use your skills as a catalog or magazine designer or a book designer. If you are good with concepts and art you can create book covers. You can design websites or create user interface designs for apps. You can design retail packaging for any product from perfume boxes/bottles to chocolate wrappers. You can become a font designer and create new typefaces for other designers to use. If you like drawing and enjoy fashion you could become a pattern or fabric designer. Anything that is printed or is on screen is designed by someone. Just look around you. Is there anyting that you think you would especially enjoy creating? Explore and enjoy your creativity :)
