Lots of good answers here. A quick one for me is to review how much time I studied before the last test and if I want to increase my score then I increase study time and also block that time on my calendar.

Study tips that worked for me include highlighting important sections, circling words, and underlining key items to easily review material without re-reading. This method can aid in retaining information and helped me achieve excellent grades throughout high school and college. Good luck on your AP Tests!

To make the most of your study time when preparing for AP exams, follow these actionable steps:

1. Determine the type of AP exam you are studying for. If it is primarily focused on memorization, such as AP History or AP languages, allocate your study time during the early morning hours when your mind is fresh for better retention.

2. If your AP exam is related to STEM subjects, ensure that you incorporate ample practice sessions into your study routine. This can involve solving practice problems or working through example scenarios.

3. Break down the study material into smaller tasks or topics and create a schedule to cover each of them. Make sure to set realistic deadlines for each task and allocate appropriate time to work on them.

4. Commit to your study schedule by following it strictly. Eliminate distractions, such as your phone, during study sessions to maintain focus.

5. To further reduce the temptation to check your phone frequently, consider putting it in a different room or using an app that limits screen time and access to distracting apps while studying.

6. Periodically review your progress and adjust your schedule or study habits as necessary to ensure effective preparation for the AP exam.

Great question. This may be different for everyone depending on many factors both within and outside your control like your biology and availability of a quiet space. It may be helpful to try a couple of different methods to see what works best for you.

For me, I always had a hard time focusing or staying on task. I found going to my school's library (or the local library) to be extremely helpful. They have "cubicles" that you can sit at which block out all distractions. The reason I liked these rather than my room at home is that there are always distractions at home (i.e., go get a snack, go play a game, talk to my family) that don't necessarily exist or are less readily available in a library. Adding some noise cancelling headphones and some white noise or your favorite playlist is also helpful in getting in the zone.

Along those same lines, I would structure my study time either by making a list of topics that I wanted to cover or by assigning a specific amount of time to a topic before moving to the next (especially if you have a bunch of tests to study for).
