Hi Poigsa,
That's a great question. I was thinking the same thing in high school. You don't need a Masters in Architecture to go into Interior Design. However, you will need to take Architecture classes in order to get into interior design. All art students have to take the basic art classes before going into more specific class: drawing/painting before fashion design or graphic design. It's the core of what your skills will be based on. I hope that answers your question. Good luck!

Nevertheless, possessing a bit of architectural savvy can facilitate your communication with architects, help you comprehend structural limitations, and enable you to craft designs that blend seamlessly with the building's architecture. A number of interior designers opt to study architecture or enroll in architecture-related classes to acquire this insight, but it's not a must.
At the end of the day, a thriving career in interior design hinges on creativity, a discerning eye for design, the ability to understand client desires, and keeping abreast of design trends and building regulations. While architectural comprehension is indeed valuable, it's just one of many skills and areas of knowledge that can bolster your success in this profession.
