How can I make it pro, if I don't want to go through the college route?

I'm a striker and Ive been in Sunday leagues for a while now and I believe I'm better than playing at a Sunday league level team, should I start applying for tryouts at professional teams? Or like mls next, ecnl etc?

Hey Jessy! I hope your day is filled with positivity and excitement. As a Soccer Coach and Scout Agent across all sports, I'm truly thrilled to help you with your question. Choosing the college route is a fantastic idea, as it's where scouts, like myself, often spot potential professional players. Excelling in the sport is essential, but complementing it with a strong education will give you an unbeatable advantage.

The more time you invest in playing and developing your skills, the higher your chances of catching the eyes of scouts and coaches. If you're truly dedicated and talented, you may already be on their radar! Keep in mind that college is crucial for any athlete's journey, as it provides a solid foundation and exposes you to high-level competition.

It's vital to remember that no matter how good you are, there will always be talented people and hard-working peers aiming for the same spot. So, gather opinions from those close to you about your skills and prospects, and conduct research to better understand your own readiness for the professional league. Life's achievements seldom come easy, and they require hard work, dedication, and sacrifice.

As you step into the world of professional soccer, strengthen yourself mentally, physically, and spiritually to give yourself the best shot at success. Showcase to everyone around you why you are the right fit for the professional league. Believe in your abilities and keep striving for excellence!

Many blessings to you, and may you find great success in your soccer journey. Check out these websites to learn more about various soccer leagues:
