Hi Hannia,
Great question! I do not personally work with animals but as a former guidance counselor and a lover of wildlife, working with animals as a profession is something I daydream about. Most professionals in the field grew up with a passion for animals, caring for them, nurturing them, and actively seeking to understand and be knowledgeable on various animals. Additionally, these professionals tend to have a passion for science/biology and enjoy what all our earth supports regarding wildlife and animals.
Extra curricular such as 4H, school-based clubs/activities, and nature-based sports all trend to be things these professionals participated. Developing a relationship with your teachers, counselors, fellow classmates, etc. provide additional chances to grow your knowledge base as well as interact with fellow like minded people.
Simply put; get involved and advocate for yourself and the animals you enjoy working with!

Hi Hannia,
So it means you want to be a Vet, sounds good. Also hard job, as all animals are diff and they are already pet so apart from their masters they are not easy to handle, you cant make them understand that you need to treat them hence they need to cooperate. So yes these things will be difficult. As they cannot speak again hard to find the RCA. But being a vet you would def get chances to understand animals, however things might be diff for diff pets and also customers. If you cannot handle them properly you will have bad cust satisfaction. So need to be v careful and cautious also caring and kind and polite. At one time you need to pursue multiple personalities.
But we do have goodness in this, as you slowly get connected to the cute pet animals and understand them better. Its good to stay around such cute pets you will def love this and in few months only it will become your interest and no more hard thing.
Good Luck

I choose to work with animals because of course I have a huge passion in helping all types of animals! The most difficult part about working with animals of course is seeing them being abused or not being taken care properly by owners. This is why I am heavy on educating clients on how to properly take care of their fur babies. You are at a great age of starting your career (I was the same age), start getting your foot in the door by volunteering or applying to work at clinics. No matter what anyone says, stay the course to achieve your goals!
