Why? OUR NERVOUS SYSTEM IS HOW WE PERCEIVE THE INNER AND OUTER WORLDS. HOW COOL IS IS TO GET A VIEW INTO HOW THAT WORKS AND TO TRY TO FIGURE OUT WAYS TO UNDERSTAND IT WHEN IT IS DYSFUNCTIONING.

professional in the field? MY FIRST MENTOR WAS A NOBEL LAUREATE. HE TAUGHT ME TO BE A CLINICIAN/SCIENTIST. I WAS VERY LUCKY TO GET INTO HIS LAB- I HAD VERY LITTLE TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE. HE CHANGED MY LIFE TRAJECTORY- I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO BE A FAMILY DOCTOR BEFORE THAT

Is it necessary to do the job you're expected to do? Does it make sense financially; will you make enough money to pay off any accrued expenses toward the degree? Are you passionate about the topic enough to conduct meaningful and useful research? Will obtaining the degree contribute to your advancement in the career you choose (i.e. salary increase, promotion, etc.)
