If you are looking into pursuing higher education following high school, I recommend creating and prioritizing a list of values you are looking for in a college experience. Certain categories could be tuition costs, size of school, majors/minors available, social clubs, distance from home, prestige, etc. Once you've narrowed down the top 5 categories of values for your ideal college experience, I recommend choosing and evaluating potential colleges based off of your values list. It is important to establish your value criteria when assessing and selecting your college experience.
I also recommend applying for a variety of scholarships early on in your senior year. Not only will scholarships assist you financially with college tuition, it will help challenge you to tell your story in an effective way and critically think.
