There are a number of things to consider when choosing a career. Here are a few questions you should ask yourself:
1. Outside of work, how do I want my day to day life to look?
2. What are hobbies or interests I have right now?
3. How much money do I want to make?
4. Do I want to work a traditional 9-5 or do I want to make my own hours?
5. Do I enjoy or see myself working with my hands?
6. Do I enjoy or would I enjoy educating, counseling or helping people? If so what is something I could teach or what is a specific problem I want to help people resolve?
As you start developing answers to these questions, do research on careers that match your answers. One place you can do that is the "Occupational Outlook Handbook" I will post a link:

When choosing any career, do something that you like. Many hobbies translate int9na career. If you don't like what you are doing you won't succeed. Look for what you are passionate about and translate that into something practical

It is okay to change. As you learn more about your chosen career. You may find a specific area you want to focus on. Or you may find it was not what you thought it was. Just be careful. If you change direction or careers , then you may have to take different classes and training.
