There is really not a ‘better time’ to apply. It is a numbers’ game which means you should start looking and applying for jobs that peak your interest as soon as you can.
When I am on the market for a new job, I do a search for jobs posted in the last 24-48 hours at the most in my field of interest.
I prepare a resume that highlights accomplishments and previous experience that relates best to the ideal job and save on my phone so I have it handy.
Do not get discouraged! Apply for roles that you might consider ‘outside of your reach’ - remember that employers will always try to get the most out of their investment when hiring for a role BUT they will never get a single candidate who will check all the boxes of the job posting. So be brave and submit that application to as many jobs as you can!
Good luck!

Great question, Mackenzie!
There is no time like the present! What I mean is that jobs become available all the time based on what a business needs, so the good thing is there is not one time of year that is better, except in a few professions like teaching, but even that has changed due to the teacher shortage. If you are graduating from high school, your guidance counselor may be able to help you apply for jobs that are appropriate for your level of experience. If you are graduating from college, your school probably has a career counseling department that can help you write your resume and cover letters and can guide you toward openings in your field. Good luck!

You don't say what you are graduating from. When I graduated from nursing school I had to take my boards exam and pass before I could apply for a job. If you have a specific degree and are finished school you can apply immediately for a job. If you are not looking as specific field of work and just need work in your local store or business is a good place to start. That's how my husband got his job and he worked there for over 25years. Don't be ashamed to ask if they have any openings if not then just leave them a resume of prior job experience and history of college courses that may apply for the job you are applying for. I hope this helps you and good luck.

I would start apply right now and let the recruiter or HR team know when you can start the new position up front. I think the more you network and apply, the better chance you have at getting a call back. I highly recommend tailor your resume to each job description to highlight your experience that matches that job specifically. I hope this helps!
