Hi, Grace,
Becoming a child psychologist requires:
- graduate high school
- graduate a 4-year college with a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject. This can be psychology, developmental psychology, sociology, education, cognitive science, neurology, etc.
- depending on the college you apply to for graduate school, you may need to take and get a solid score on the GRE.
- go to an APA accredited graduate school for at least a Master's degree (2-3 years) or a PhD or PhysD (4+ years). This can be in clinical psychology or clinical social work if you plan on being a therapist.
- complete clinical internships/rotations during your graduate training
- apply for state liscensure to practice
