BEGINNING YOUR CAREER JOURNEY
First and foremost, identify the subjects that captivate you. Are you drawn to science, math, history, home economics, art, music, physical fitness, sports, and so on? Next, consider your interests, such as politics, theater, sports, cooking, writing, research, exploration, the outdoors, painting, crafts, and more. Then, investigate all the careers that link these subjects and interests, or where they might intersect. It's crucial to choose a career based on your passion for it, rather than just the money or power you believe it will bring. A career is an investment in your future growth. For example, a patrol officer could advance to a detective and eventually join the FBI or Homeland Security. Similarly, a nurse might choose to specialize in pediatrics or return to school to become a doctor. Perhaps you've worked in fast food during high school and aspire to be a chef like Gordon Ramsay or Rachael Ray. The key is to start your career with something you're passionate about. Keep in mind that if you're fascinated by music or sports but lack the skills to sing or play, there are still many career options in those fields. Here are a few examples:
- Music Producer
- Sportscaster
- Music Teacher
- Coach
- Recruiter
- Talent Scout
- Agent
I hope this guidance proves valuable, and I wish you great success on your career journey.

It's always good to be specific. Each career takes different paths and there is no one size fit all when it comes all to a career. However, be sure to be purposeful in all you do. Every educational encounter or training should have some amount of impact on the career you want. Take no opportunity for granted and be humble when more experience people assign you tasks or correct you. Take everything as a lesson...and stay focused...
