In the work force, having any type of degree can make you more competitive in applying for a job. Of course, different degrees in different fields have varying weight in what they bring to the table.

As an HR expert, I firmly think that there's no stigma in going to a community college. In fact, I chose to begin my college journey by enrolling in courses at my local community college. This enabled me to finish my fundamental subjects (like English, math, history, and science) at a much lower cost. After that, I moved on to a university to finish my bachelor's degree program. In my opinion, it's a smart and practical choice for anyone looking to pursue higher education.

The rest of the answers say the rest of what I would want to say. But I would want to add:
Maybe to some people there is a stigma, but those are the types of people you would not want to get associated with in the first place.

I personally believe it depends on who you ask. For me personally, I believe there is no stigma with attending either community college or trade school. Both of these routes can be beneficial in their own ways; community college is excellent for people who want to save money on their education, people who don't know what they want to pursue after high school, or anyone trying to get back into school. Trade school is also beneficial for people that want to pursue a career that does not require a college degree, such as a technician or welder. These people still make a great salary as they possess valuable skills that they learn through trade school most people do not have. However, some people will view these non-traditional routes differently, most likely because they were taught college is the road to success, which is not true. If college isn't your fit, do not waste money on education that will go to waste. Pursuing your goals and what route aligns best with them is the way to go.

Hi there, There is no stigma when you choose to go to the trade school. The only thing is if you want to advance in your career and become a supervisor or a manager, the employer do prefer at least a bachelor degree.
