Hi, Alissa,
The Army can be an excellent career, or just a good place to learn a skill and become more organized in your future plans. My first suggestion to you is to write down what you are hoping to achieve in the Army. Seeing the words written down is a strong endorsement of your plans. I further suggest a good discussion with the recruiter, as that individual can provide real-world information for you. Will it get you where you want to be? Nobody can answer that BUT, joining the Army will get you moving, and often that is the biggest benefit. Good luck to you.

You're welcome. I struggled my first college semester and joined the military. It proved a good move as that involvement helped me find what I really wanted to do and the motivation to work at it.

Hi Alissa,
The truth is that this is one of those existential questions that most people ask themselves even into adulthood. Just know that whatever you choose-- you are never stuck. You can always go back to school, change careers, move, etc. That doesn't mean it's easy, but it can be done.
Think about what makes you really happy, and then go from there. Hope this helps. Good luck!
