How do you tend to stay motivated when things keep crashing down on you?
An other words, what are some tips to stay motivated. I'm not eligible to work without a working permit. I don't know what school i'm going to. I have no way of income and its hard to stay positive when you're young and have to provide for yourself.

Once while in college, my wife and I looked at our bank account and realized we had $23 dollars. We have come a long way and now are raising a family together. One day you will look back on this and be able to see how far you have come as long as you don't lose the motivation to continue. My wife and I often do look back on that day and reflect on where we are now.
In terms of something you can do for yourself now, look for jobs that are willing to sponsor work permits. They will often do this for people who they recognize as valuable additions to their company! It can be done!
Good luck, Nierre!

Every step I take, no matter how small, propels me forward. I organize my tasks into big, medium, and small categories, ensuring that I tackle the biggest ones first. By doing this, I gradually work my way down the list. Writing down each task gives me the satisfaction of crossing it off once completed, reinforcing the feeling of accomplishment.
Stay motivated and keep moving forward, there's no need to look back. You're doing great!

You need to stay focused on yourself. I hope you have friends and family that support you.
Do not give up. Persistence will pay off in the long run. Do some research on the career you are most interested in.
Like you are doing here, ask questions, ask for help. Look for a mentor. Ask to shadow someone to see what that job or career is like.
If you have to volunteer to help someone without pay. Do it. You may meet someone when you are volunteering that can help you. Get your permit and just start working. You can make changes as you move forward. Do not expect to get your dream job right away. It will take time to learn, and hard work to get promotions towards what you want. Just never give up. You can change paths but not moving forward is not an option.
I wish you the best of luck. Believe in yourself and others will too.

Hi, Nierre.
You are not alone. I agree that it can be hard to stay motivated amidst circumstances that feel hard to deal with and that feel unfair. Whenever I find myself feeling this way, I do these things:
- Write in a notebook. Writing things down with pen / pencil on paper helps to get ideas, concepts, goals and feelings out of the mind. It turns the immaterial into something tangible. It's a good outlet for expressing anything — anger, excitement, sadness, hope, anxiety, grief, gratitude, etc. Try and make this a daily habit to get your feelings and ideas on paper. If you open your notebook and you feel at a loss for words, try using a prompt or a question to get ideas flowing. For example: What emotions am I feeling today? What are my goals in life? What action can I take today towards these goals? What kind of person do I want to be? In what areas can I grow?
- Try to connect with people in your desired field or area of study. Building a network can be one of the keys to success. By finding individuals who have either achieved what you are looking to achieve, or who have similar goals as you, you are starting to align yourself and actions with the things you desire in life. This could mean creating an email account and reaching out to people at universities; finding support groups or meetups related to education or your desired field; or calling / emailing / visiting organizations or companies to introduce yourself and ask if you could shadow to learn a skill or more about a specific industry. Though it may be hard to find them, there are people out there who are willing to help. Seeking mentorship or guidance from a positive and productive someone in your community is a good place to start.
- Visit a public library. Through books and public computers, libraries can be a good resource to learn more about your desired field of study or industry. Libraries are also often good resources for community groups or meetups. Ask your local librarian about possible educational resources or groups that you may be able to take part in. Don't be afraid to ask for help.
- Keep going. It can be tough, but keep believing in yourself and what you have to offer! We each have a special spark inside of us. You have that Nierre. Best of luck.

Sérgio’s Answer
Hi Nierre,
I had to start working when I was 17, coming out of unfinished High School, to provide for myself and help my family.
I finished High School working during the day and studying at night when I was 25.
Entered University with 30, already married and with a small child, again working during the day and studying at night, sometimes I would only see my child sleeping for days! Since then I've done 2 Post Graduation and I'm currently undergoing in a Master.
All this to tell you, never give up, persistence is the key! Believe in yourself and go out there and fight

While discouragement may appear from various corners, the best antidote is to find the strength in your beliefs, making your character unshakeable and invincible. Your ambitions shine through, and I'm not just referring to religious faith like Christianity, which works for me but might not for you. You may find solace in becoming a Buddhist monk or seeking tranquility in the Greek islands. The key is to understand that life is fleeting, and there is a higher power above us all. Building a connection with this supreme being through prayer is crucial, as it values our requests and desires. Let your determination be visible to all, for your drive to achieve your goals will be unstoppable.
