What is required to secure a job interview at publix?
So I've applied online on publix.com/applications and have already filled out the application to three stores;two of which of visited once in person and one of those two I've visited twice and called twice to speak to their manager. I'm going to go a third time so I was wondering how I could captivate the manager's attention to secure an interview

Sounds like you're really determined, which is great. When you visit the store again, try to showcase your enthusiasm for the role and the company. Mention any relevant skills or experiences you have, and explain why you're excited about the opportunity. Personal connections matter, so build a positive rapport with the manager and leave a lasting impression. Good luck!

Securing a job interview at Publix or any other company typically involves following some essential steps. Publix is a popular supermarket chain, and the hiring process may vary slightly depending on the specific position you're applying for. Here are some general steps and tips to increase your chances of getting a job interview at Publix:
Online Application: Visit the official Publix careers website or the specific job posting platform (if applicable) to search for job openings and submit your application. Ensure you provide accurate and up-to-date information.
Resume and Cover Letter: Tailor your resume to highlight relevant skills and experience for the job you're applying for. Include a well-written cover letter expressing your interest in working at Publix and explaining why you are a suitable candidate.
Job Requirements: Review the job description carefully to understand the specific qualifications and requirements Publix is seeking in candidates. Make sure you meet these requirements or can demonstrate transferable skills.
Experience: Emphasize any previous work experience in a similar role, especially if you have experience in the retail or grocery industry.
Availability: Be clear about your availability to work, including weekdays, weekends, and any specific hours or shifts you can commit to.
Customer Service Skills: Publix places a strong emphasis on customer service. Highlight any experience you have in dealing with customers and providing excellent service.
Positive Attitude: Demonstrate a positive and friendly attitude throughout the application process. This can be reflected in your interactions with Publix employees, if possible.
Networking: If you know someone who already works at Publix or has connections within the company, ask them to refer you or provide insights about the application process.
Research the Company: Familiarize yourself with Publix's history, values, and culture. Be prepared to discuss what interests you about working for the company during the interview.
Follow Up: If you don't receive an immediate response after applying, it's acceptable to follow up on the status of your application. Send a polite email or make a phone call to express your continued interest.
Remember that the hiring process can take time, and not all applicants may receive an interview. Stay persistent and keep applying to suitable positions until you find the right fit. Good luck with your job search!

Hi there!
I’m an HR executive in the retail space. Large retailers like Publix gets 1000s of applications a week. They also get dozens of walk-in candidates seeking an interview. I say this to say, it’s not you, it’s the competition. I agree with the aforementioned advice—seek other employers. Research who their local competitors are. Ask yourself, “why Publix” and “how can I achieve this outside of working for Publix”.
If there is a particular reason you have interest in Publix and have a deep desire to work there, follow the below tips for a more success approach when “walking-in” or “cold calling”.
1. Speak with an ASSOCIATE! Most people do not think to speak with an associate but this can help and here’s how. Approach 3 different associates at different periods about their experience working there. Share with them your skills, experience, and interest. Hand them your resume. Ask them to provide it to hiring manager. Believe it or not, many floor employees are willing to simply hand the resume to the back office and continue their day.
2. Find the Store Manager on LinkedIn. Knowing the name of the company, location, or grabbing their card from guest services will help you with leads in finding them. You’ll need to most likely be a member on LinkedIn to contact them. They may or may not have their email on their profile. Contact them about your interest and request an interview with your resume attached.
Good luck!

In looking for a supermarket job, the only thing that is required to get an interview after you apply is time. There are many things to keep in mind to understand why you may not be getting an interview straight away, but none of them are your fault. There is no real answer as to how to be assured of an interview, but if you understand the possible reasons why you may not be getting an interview, it may help a little.
Supermarket on line applications are usually quite lengthy and have personality review questions on them. There may be an elimination process the company goes through based on how the personality questions are answered. Some of those questions are a bit tricky, too. Also, as with all fields of work, as much as we may not want to know it, sometimes people hire their friends, people they already know so they know they can work well with them.
Another factor that may be delaying being chosen for an interview is the sheer amount of people applying for the same job. What makes a person stand out is only known by the person hiring. It could be a large amount of previous experience. No one really knows exactly what the manager is basing his or her choice on. Being under qualified or over qualified is sometimes a deal breaker for some employers.
But rest assured, you have done the right thing. You have followed up by visiting the store. My advice is to be friendly, be yourself and present that you are offering your services more than it's because you want a job. Also dress and groom neatly. Make a good outward appearance and friendly manner. That should help.
Do not depend on one store, however. Complete applications for many businesses in your area. The more you apply to, the better your chances are to get an interview. If you apply to ten companies and get one interview, it's worth it. Yes, applying for a job can seem like a job. We've all been there and share your feeling.
Best wishes to you. I hope this helps a little and that you ace the next interview you go on.
