So, I am going into a nursing career, and I am doing pre-nursing classes, I am just wondering how to stay focused in class and how to succeed in college.

When it comes to excelling in college, including in pre-nursing classes, a personal touch can make a big difference. Engage actively by participating in discussions and seeking clarification when needed. Surround yourself with a supportive community of peers who share your goals, and make use of resources like study groups. While my journey led me outside of college, I found that embracing your distinct path and leveraging your passion can lead to success, just as it did for me in my field.

It's all about balance and organization! First, make a list of the things you need to do in college (courses, club activities that will help advance your career, etc), then the things you want to do (events, fun clubs, hanging out with friends, etc).
Second, stick to the schedule you set for yourself. It's important to keep a realistic schedule week to week so you have time to study and do the things that make you happy. If you need to, find apps that reward you for staying off your phone or for studying for specific amounts of time!
Third, be forgiving. You are going to have hard weeks and bad days. Allow them to happen because it's okay. Give yourself enough room to be honest with yourself!
Fourth, find a good support system. College can be really tough on your own. Whether it's friends, coworkers, or professors, find people who can help you succeed!

Thank you, Niha for the advice.

Be mindful and deliberate about the atmosphere you create around you. Surround yourself with friends who share your ambitions, creating a supportive network where you all keep each other on track.
Study groups can be incredibly beneficial. Set a regular time to meet with your peers to revisit and deepen your understanding of class lessons.
Discipline is key. Commit to your individual study schedule and make every effort to attend all classes unless there's a compelling reason not to.
Remember, it's okay not to be perfect. While it's important to allocate time for studying, it's equally crucial to rest and engage in leisure activities. Nourish your body with good food and stay hydrated.
There may be challenging times, but remember, it's a universal experience. Embrace these moments and keep your eyes on the prize - the day you graduate and see your dreams become reality. This vision will carry you through the tough days.
