I would check the foundation of the college or university that I am attending.
Many colleges have endowments and provide scholarship opportunities for students.
I would check the foundation office to see what is available, and what you qualify to apply for.

Hi,
The key with scholarships is to apply to as many as you can that you are interested in. It is all about the 80/20 rule and scholarships are not easy to attain even to the worthiest students, in part of that many applications. Therefore, do your research, try not to be discouraged and apply to as many as you can. Consequently, you will beat the odds in acceptance and potentially a few of you applied for will come back in your favor. Trust me, be relentless about applying to as many as possible in all the resources you have. You got this!

Hi Ada, Many corporations award scholarships to cover educational costs including tuition, room, board and books. For example, the Women of AT&T gave twenty-five $1000 scholarships to students earlier this summer. An application, transcript, and essay is required. I also suggest typing "scholarships offered by companies" in your web browser (like google) for a large number of opportunities. One important tip....when you write your essay, tell an engaging story about yourself. I serve on a scholarship committee and I have found that applicants who do that generally are selected or at least make it through the first round of cuts. Good luck!

Discovering fantastic scholarships is a journey with many paths, and you can navigate it both online and through your current affiliations. Scholarships.com and College Board are excellent starting points, allowing you to search for scholarships tailored to your university, intended major, GPA, minority status, and other specific criteria. If you're already part of volunteer or merit-based organizations, don't hesitate to inquire about scholarship opportunities for college-bound students. Organizations like the Girl Scouts of America, local churches, and the National Honor Society are known for their scholarship offerings. Plus, companies like Chick Fil A and McDonald's extend scholarships to their employees. So, keep exploring, the perfect scholarship for you is out there!
