Katelyn’s Answer

Hey, Kirby! 👋

The majority of the workforce earns money through employment by a company. Self-employment is another great option. Passive income sources also exist, but this will require initial research and work to set up and support your passive income streams.

If you have a skill you can offer others as a service or product, you can begin working for yourself early in life and gain valuable business management skills! With the increasing availability of online marketplaces, this is now easier than ever. If you're selling services (babysitting, dog walking, lawn mowing, car washing, etc.) canvassing your local community to find interested customers is a great option as long as you can do so safely. Local businesses may also support you by making your business cards or fliers available for their patrons to see.

Best of luck, and don't hesitate to ask the CareerVillage.org community if you have more questions as you explore different income options! 💜

Julia’s Answer

Hey Kirby 👋🏻

Why do I make money? To pay my bills and afford the fun things and experiences that are important to me.

How do I make money? I'm a copywriter and content strategist which means that I write websites, blog posts, emails, and social media content that helps businesses connect with their audiences. I also build strategies that lay out what content those brands should be using to grow their online presence.

If you're just starting out and looking for your first job, there are a lot of options out there! Think about what you enjoy doing and what type of services people in your area need.

Good luck!

Hey dear kirby,

I used to mention that the most important and first thing to make money is to start working on yourself.
I mean, train yourself in a field you love, follow courses, join workshops, read more and more, make studies etc

How? To me, to get money, we have to get knowledge and experiences first, after getting professional or personal skills, you will certainly have many opportunities to work in a company or even create your own company.
That is the same, maybe someone is not a student, he/she should make everything to get more knowledges in such a field or activity before thinking about money.

When? I think you can start today, start reading books, proceed studies at the college or university. We have to make the first step today, we must create opportunities to get money and it begins today.

Why? Because we all human beings have some needs, they can be material, finacial etc
Thus, without money, it will be difficult to respond to ours needs.

Thanks kirby,
I encourage you to work hard at school so that you get money to help and support your family and home.
God bless you!

Mustafa’s Answer

Focus less on merely earning an income and more on cultivating wealth. Wealth creation is a long-term objective that necessitates a specific mindset. This includes setting long-term goals, maintaining mental discipline, mastering investment tactics, dodging debt, curtailing unnecessary spending, staying aware of the economy's health, and learning to interpret economic trends.

It's also beneficial to observe and learn from successful investors and financiers. Stay informed about global events and the performance of various world economies. While any job that offers a steady income can be a starting point, it's preferable to choose a career with a high initial income.

Make it a priority to minimize debt and pay it off quickly, as the money spent on interest could be used for investment and wealth accumulation. The less debt you have, the less interest you pay, the quicker you can pay off your debt, and the sooner you can start investing to build wealth.

In the flippant literal sense, a mint is where money is manufactured; and if you want to make money, you should work there :P xD

I suspect that's not quite what you meant, however, although you haven't said much about yourself and it's hard without a bit of background to make personal recommendations on the best way for you to make money - the best career for you depends on your skills and abilities, your interests, as well as your preferences for balancing making the most money or enjoying what you do.

I personally earn my money working as a radiation physicist, because that's something I'm good at and enjoy, and although it's perhaps not the highest paid job I could have found, I can earn enough to be relatively financially comfortable.

Paul’s Answer

I have always believed that the best way to make money is to save and invest it.

Basically set up a system where you save a certain amount of money each month and then invest it in order to gain interest and dividends.

The best system will diversify investments, everything from stocks, bonds, mutual funds, IRA'S..etc..

Use your money to make money and prepare for your future.
