DENNIS’s Answer

Hi Seoyeon: I am assuming you are asking about American Law Schools - I do not know anything about schools in South Korea. However, most Law Schools teach the same basic curriculum. Contracts, Torts, Property, Tax, Civil Procedure, Criminal Law to name a few. These are the base courses you need to pass the bar exam in most states. Remember, to practice law after law school you must pass a state bar exam. The two areas you mention - enviromental law and intellectual property - can both be taken in most law schools. Both are growing fields. Once you pass the bar you can jump into those practice areas. I suggest you start now - get involved in enviromental issues in your area; join a group to help in the area you like. Same with intellectual property - due to the internet and ease of information flow there is a real need to protect intellectual property. Find a group now and get involved. Great question - enjoy school and thank you for caring about the environment and intellectual property!
