Thank you comment icon I don't believe Elon Musk is that powerful of a person without associates and representatives assisting him. I don't believe he single handedly can do things like this without risking the severe health of a few employees who are close to him. If he were to for example not be a billionaire he simply would be like the average person. Only decisions about where money is dispersed and who to support are giving him this power. One, we probably chose to follow him because he's healthy and has no history of dependency in the health system so we are more likely to get close to him. Two, decisions are made based on who is accepted or not and other people can do the exact same things he can. And three, if I were Elon Musk I'd be worried about being in the public eye, and wonder why me, simply because there are too many people who are more logical and skillful than him. It simply is not all that it seems, and we shouldn't be glorifying any one single person. Nicolas McKissack

A few years ago, no one would have thought Twitter would switch hands, names, and designs, and yet here we are. If there's anything I've learned about working in social and digital media, it's that technology, trends, and culture are constantly changing, and careers change with them. The sudden disruption of the tech world by AI is one of the best examples of this phenomenon.

If you are interested in working in social media, technology, or any other career that is subject to rapid change, the best thing you can do is keep up-to-date on industry changes and be prepared to switch gears as new skills or education are required in your chosen career path. Prepare for the future, but never assume a certain company, owner, or technology will make things better or worse. They might, but even that change will be temporary. Staying curious and ready to learn are both vital qualities.
