Excellent query, Olivia! You're doing fantastic!

If you're aiming to be a successful individual, the simplest route is to observe those who are already successful. A truly motivational step I would suggest is to define what success signifies to you. Are you striving for top-notch grades?

Do you aspire to be recognized for something specific in high school? So, what does success really mean to you? Following that, your next move is to identify a mentor, someone who has accomplished what you're aiming for. This person can provide valuable advice since they've already walked the path you're embarking on.

In essence, jot down your personal definition of success, identify someone in high school who has realized your goals, and then inquire about their journey to success. I trust this guidance will be beneficial to you.

Brandon’s Answer

This question is depends on what you believe is considered successful. For a lot of people I know, successful can be seen in many ways such as being the lead role in a play, making varsity on a sports team, etc.

Here are the more common "successful" goals that people have while in high school:

Getting good grades
Making varsity in a sports team
Having a named role in a club (president, vice president, treasurer, etc)
Participating and joining as many clubs as possible
Earning as many scholarships as possible for college
Earning enough high school credits to graduate early.

These are only a few examples of successes that a person may consider as successes in high school.

Jerome’s Answer

Look at High School as your job. The more you put into it, the more you can potentially get from it. Good grades and exploring activities that interest you are not only ok, but encouraged! You will find, the older you get, the less options you start to have. Look at this as an exciting time to explore who you are, try new things and stay focused on the thought that what you do today can set you up for success later in life.
