To decide what school is good for you, you should consider some aspects. First of all, the college you choose must be relevant to your long-term goals and career aspirations. Each college has its varying application requirements. Check them carefully and decide which one of them can be a better option to you. Try to especially check your eligibility to different programs, including necessary test scores, and so on.

Alan’s Answer

Hi, MaKenzie. I did a quick Google search of "best colleges for special education in Alabama" and it opened up to a very helpful page. I started to look at the curricula of the various schools, of which there were ten. Some have Early Childhood special education, some have both Early Childhood and Elementary, some have what's called "Collaborative Teacher Special Education." I would go to the website of each of the ten and look at the relevant programs that each offer, comparing their focus and courses. I only got about half-way down, but, as a specialist in this field, I was particularly impressed with the program at the University of West Alabama as one example. I would certainly also read what students have to say about each of the colleges and their programs, and perhaps meet with representatives from your local school districts to find out what their experiences with the graduates of each have been.
